Even though the axle itself is labeled “Made in the USA,” some of the components or raw materials used to build it (such as steel tubing, brake parts, or hub components including lug nuts) are subject to increased international tariffs. When our U.S.-based supplier faced these increased import costs, their pricing to us adjusted accordingly. Given the significant rise in government-imposed duties and tariffs on imported parts, some of which are as high as 70%, the additional fee is designed to reduce the impact of those rising costs on our customers by outlining a small percentage for that specifically at checkout instead of hiding it in an increased product price with no explanation.
