Dexter Nev R Adjust Brakes vs Regular Import Brakes

Dexter Nev R Adjust Brakes vs Regular Import Brakes

Let’s talk about the difference between Nev-R-Adjust brakes vs import brakes. We’ll learn what makes each style special, and how each one works, and where you can find them.

What are Nev-R-Adjust Brakes?

Believe if it or not, the Nev-R-Adjust brake assemblies adjust themselves while you drive after the first installation. When you brake your trailer, the front brakes have to work a little harder because more of the weight shifts over to the front axle. In order to make sure your brakes work at their best, it’s recommended that you don’t adjust them after the first assembly.

The adjuster is located below the magnet. You basically adjust the brake to the point where you can’t turn the hub easily by hand, then loosen by about ten clicks until the brake drags gently on the drum. Do this for all of your axles and brakes. This should result in a controlled, proper stop.

The good news is, if you leave the self-adjusting brakes alone they’ll wind up adjusting themselves so that they are all operating the same way.
