Finally, was able to buy new axles for my trailer. Check prices and decided to go with Trailer Parts Outlet 12K kit. Ordering was easy, waited to hear when they were shipping with pro number and didn't hear until day before that Saia was going to deliver the next day with a time window and I needed to sign for it. Took the day off and when the truck showed, all there was a small pallet with the spring kit, and it was broken open. No axels, driver had no clue, shipping label only showed 1 piece. Called customer service who said it was shipped all on 1 pallet. she called me back and said they found the axles still on the dock and they will be there the next day.
Took another day off this was a Friday and no delivery. Monday showed and I couldn't stay home so wife was here. The truck showed, pallet busted up with axles barely on as he tried to unload. Had to leave it at end of driveway until I got home. Day of install and broken box was missing 6 lug nuts and had to use the old ones, lucky they fit. No paperwork on install instructions, all labels on axles painted over, no install instruction online, no clue what brand are. Found a video that shows their axles have the brake wires on the driver side, opposite to my trailer. I ended up taking the brake hub off to see the proper direction.
The mounting nuts are a joke. They are locking 1 time use only. They crimped on the end in 3 spots that are so tight, they stripped the threads as they went on. Something…
